Does anyone know what the best non-rechargeable battery for a digital camera?
I have a Canon Powershot that has 4AAs and the selling rate at Best Buy told me in NiMH rechargeable batteries and will NEVER be charged when I need them (I feel like I lost $ 45). I have children and must admit it's hard for me to get into the habit of remembering to keep the darn things charged. So when I grab my camera is usually good for a few shots, if that. I tried the new Pix Duracell batteries that last twice say that in alkaline but I got about 50 images. If the NIMH my only answer? Why companies can not the camera or battery, how to get many pictures from a digital camera you used to get out of a movie camera. Thanks!
NiMH (rechargeable) are much better for high current devices such as digital cameras (the flash and LCD use a lot of juice). standard alkaline (not rechargeable) batteries work, but will go through a ton of them. Lithium (not lithium ion) batteries last longer but are much more expensive. Better buy a second set of Nimh. Upload a game and put in the camera. Load the second set and put in the drawer. By replacing the camera, put them on the charger immediately. It's just like having a constant supply of alkali.
