Is there a huge difference between a camera lens that goes 200mm and one that goes 300mm. serious answers only?
I’m buying a new camera, either the Nikon D60 10.2-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera & 18-55mm Lens – Black (with a Nikkon Nikkor 55-200 f/4-5.6 zoom lens)
Canon Digital Rebel XS 10.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera & 18-55mm Lens – Black (with a Canon 75-300mm Telephoto EF Zoom Lens f/4-f/32)
which camera is better? which extra lens is better?
Yes there is a significant difference. The question you have to ask is do you need that difference. I am a nikon person so I would say go with the Nikon but the Canon is also a great camera Nikon does have better backwards lens compatibility and better low noise performance at high ISO.
As to the lens Tamaron have a good lens comparison site that will let you select focal lengths and see the same subject taken with different focal lenght lenses
