Just Bought a Nikon D90, could it be defective?
I don’t own a memory card to put in it yet, and when i press the shutter release button it won’t take the picture. Do i need a memory card to operate it?
There is a setting and Nikon D90 is set on “shutter lock” when no memory card is installed by default. By the way, its no use if you take pictures and not saving them on a SD card. its not defective. go buy at least 4GB with at least class 6. also, read the manual for you to fully utilize your new camera. you can change it in one of the menus but I would not suggest it since taking pictures without saving them would just waste you shutter count.
