Why are pictures that I deleted ages ago back on my Blackberry Curve 8520?
Well..
I deleted quite a lot of pictures off my Blackberry quite a while ago now (they was on my memory card) and now they have come back? I had the pictures that I wanted on my phone up until last week sometime when I took the memory card out of my phone, when I put it back in all the pictures I had deleted in the past had come back.. and I don’t want them.. How do I get rid of them?
I’ve tried deleting them but it won’t let me, when I try to it says ‘this is a read only file’ …. Please help if you know how to, thanks.
Most phone company store copies of everything coversations, text messages, and photos for several reasons legal mostly but also incase you want them back & say accidently break your phone or something. Some companies have a set period of time they will start things & then every month or so things that have expired are purged. It seems that your deleted pictures were restored either by you accidentially or by the company why I’m not sure maybe during a maintaince thing or maybe the system went down & when they brought it back up they used an older files which still had copies of your old pictures. Like your computer sending a file to the waste box even emptying the waste box doesn’t actually delete the file or any trace of it. If you know where to look you can find it which is why people say dont store embarrassing photos on your phone. The only way to really make sure you delete something be it your phone or computer is to totally wipe your memory card or pc with a complete new formatting or using a magnet &/degoucing it. Have you seen those signs that say dont put magnets near your credit card or telling you not to lay your wallet down on the counter in that spot well its because in those places theres a possiblity of so how erasing them usually with magnets & it doesn’t have to be a powerful magnet either. You could buy a new one card & break the old one but again even that’s not foolproof.
