Digital Camera Repair Problem # 3 – Inadequate design of the battery and broken doors
So your battery door broke and gone.
Its battery cover has broken tabs on it and no longer holds secure for batteries and contact do not turn on the camera.
Its lid is removable battery in SLR so you can add a handle with extra batteries … and where exactly you put down?
This small small plastic piece in the CF (Compact Flash memory card) the door was broken and the camera will not turn on!
Oh man … many cameras will not turn around because the door of your memory card is opened or the battery door is open, but actually seems to be no reason for it? It's frustrating … these little flimsy battery door from a small glob of plastic are ultra thin and in addition to a dry branch, (take the Canon Powershot SD750 battery cover for example … I mean, how bad it was designed!) took his camera useless. What were they thinking when they designed this? Do ANYONE test this thing? One was arrested for a second and ask what the reason was behind it?
It could work for any large company digital camera and tell them exactly what is wrong with the design of any new camera that release and save hundreds of thousands of dollars in warranty repairs and dissatisfied customers! Thinking I was going to hire? No way, I have an engineering degree or a PhD is physics and whatnot, right?
Well, I know many have thousands of fixed cameras in the last 5 + years, I know what is wrong with the camera if a particular model, even before me.
Sony H2 or H5? Broken shutter button. Canon SD850? Canon SD750 lens stuck? battery cover broken … I will not list dozens of cameras here, which is not the question.
What do you do with your camera when a small piece of plastic or is it broken? You paid hundreds of it and Again, the man at the store says, "to throw it away, it is better, going to 11." (A little movie humor there, hey it's 1:30 a.m. I have the right) Tell that guy in the shop of a resounding "NO!" and exit. Go home, get on the computer and get surfing.
Go back to eBay … your search model number and "gate" or "parties" and voila, look what I find!
—> As a side note here (I'm a little proud so take me) I was the first and only digital camera parts store in the world on ebay. I bought cameras for the years 100 and fix what he could and then split the rest. I sold all those little annoying parts that can not be bought anywhere cheaper! $ 10 for the battery door and all you do to install it is turning in its place … and "geek" in the store I told you that would be $ 175 to send in the Canon or Sony and have it do for you …
So there is your door or a part there, keep looking, do not give up yet. Do not want to fix it yourself, no problem, there are places that will do it for you. We hope you find decent priced one, do not pay anyone $ 50 to install a battery door for you … please.

broken doors and gates of the memory card battery are very common. I think we would see many more customers asking for them if they knew they could actually fix it and get your camera back to work for less $ 25-30! It's cheap, with many doors for only $ 15-20.
