Top digital camera repair problem – Broken LCD Screen

We live in a disposable society, it is a simple fact. You buy that brand new camera Digital luxury with all the bells and whistles for $ 400, and 6 months to 1 year's worth maybe half, and then the unthinkable happens: you fall and break. The LCD screen is broken or lens jammed, making it do? You head back to the store with its poor camera and the man behind the counter (who knows nothing about cameras except what is written on the box, much less to repair the camera) says not worth fixing and should be thrown away. You feel cheated and angry the manufacturer of the camera and shake it and buy a new one made by someone else.

No options available! You do not have to pull that camera, you can repair same, send it to repair or sell it for parts to another person online.

If you want to repair it or have it repaired, I have a tip for you about what I think is the # 1 problem of digital camera repair: broken LCD screens.

It was hard for me to choose between broken LCD screens and glasses broken, but I stayed LCD # 1 because it is very easy to break your LCD screen without even touching the camera to do it!

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen is seen in the back of the camera that allows you to view menus, pictures, play, etc. The LCD screen is very thin, very fragile and many many cameras completely unprotected! Look at the back of the camera, the screen is slightly recessed and the back of the camera flat and smooth? If floor has a protective 'window' or 'crystal' in the LCD screen to help prevent damage and breakage. If it is not flat, you have nothing protecting its LCD screen and must make a good quality LCD screen protector for the camera and not plastic, thin, weak 'saran wrap' protectors screen-film, worthless.

– Do not leave your camera in the car in summer or winter. Extreme heat can cause expansion of the liquid on the screen and making "crack" and on the other side of things can cause extreme cold to freeze

– Do not place anything against the LCD screen in your camera bag, that hitting the LCD and the crack (yes, even if you have a window on it, it will break!)

– Do not place the camera in his back pocket and then sit down!

– Do not place the camera in the front pocket and then turn around in it.

– … Just do not put your camera in your pocket, by favor. =)

Ok, so it does not work, what to do now?

– The manufacturer just by impact damage site and refuse to repair even if the camera was left etc. You can try, and I wish him luck, but probably not fix it.

– Look for a defective camera and *** and (Hey do not get paid for advertising for them …) and make a good camera of the two if they are useful.

– Look for a real camera repair business and not someone who will send the manufacturer and tell you it is $ 200 and 4-6 weeks for repair. (If I say, NOT repair your camera for you, which is sending the manufacturer guaranteed)

Many LCD screens are very easy to install and can do it yourself and all you need is a small screwdriver. Other LCD are very difficult to install, and even professionals do not like making them! I can not tell the brand …. is the best brand and … is the worst, actually not. Some series of cameras have one or 2 models that are difficult to work, however, the rest of them are quite simple. You need to decide for itself whether to open the camera and try to repair it yourself or not.

How is it LCD screen replaced?
With most Canon digital camera screens LCD for example (using as an example, because they have the largest market share) the only thing to do is disconnect the ribbon cable for the LCD screen and light (light shining through screen and lets you see what's on the screen) and then install the new LCD. Some come with the backlight attached, some not. Some background lights must be welded to the plate camera, others not.

– Be careful not to touch the contacts on the flash capacitor! Zap you if you do, and hurt a little. Is likely to launch camera across the room when it happens. (Yes, I've done, I have been repairing cameras ….) We have 5 years 'flash capacitor downloaders' and every time we use a camera.

Hope this helps you fix your digital camera and saves you time and money in the process!
