what type of memory card fits my Olympus Stylus 710 digital camera?
I have this camera for Christmas and my parents got me a SanDisk 256MB memory card. man circuit city said that it would fit my camera, but it is not. maybe I'm not putting in the right? or do i need another type of memory card?
I work with the Olympus digital camera and every pen that I worked on the memory card is XD. There are two types – Type M XD is the newest, and most likely the only kind you can find in stores. Both are exactly the same except for a small M in front of type M. Really should not mean anything to you, but in some digital cameras that have higher M type XD cards caused some problems. Most manufacturers have corrected these problems with firmware updates. I do not think you should have no problem with any type. The XD card is very small – about the size of a penny (Slightly more). The SD is longer than wide. These two types are often confused by the similar name.
