My digital camera will not work! What should I do?
I went to a X-Country meeting and took my Canon Powershot digital camera with me my bag. But, I also had my big bottle of water, and filtered the entire surface in my bad. My camera body is wet, and when I took my camera was a little too wet. No lights, and I even put new batteries and tried to make it, and will not work. Would it be better to let it air out until tomorrow? Should I use my memory card in another camera to see if the photos are still there? What should I do?
Photos must remain in your card, but need a card reader to transfer them to your computer. Be sure to dry before plugging the card. Should be fine. I have lowered my CF cards in all sorts of moist places. If short batteries that may have had enough power in them yet to damage electronic components in the camera. Once it is dry (a couple of days), you can try using rechargeable batteries. If not, then think about buying a new one.
