Can anyone tell me of a slim digital camera that is as good as Nixon or Canon digital SLR camera?
Compact Cameras are often compromised by the small size of their sensors, this often means more noise, poor definition and overtreatment. The depth of field is less pronounced with small sensors and things like diffraction can affect image quality. There are two options if you want a true image quality digital SLR style, one is the Sigma DP1 and the other is the Olympus PEN-1, but as PEN 1 is an interchangeable lens is especially compact camera only with the 17mm lens (35mm equivalent in money old) both houses have decent sized sensor, a way of premium and decay controls on exposure.
