I want to buy a video camera that is compatible with mac?
I just had my son and want to record a lot, But I have a camera. I'm researching what is the best bang for the buck and make sure it is compatible with mac. Someone told me wasn't JVC. and that a gun was the best, but its face. Sonny and Panasonic are in my price range of under 500. I want one with a hard disk.

For the most part, if your Mac is new, you connect your computer and camcorder with USB, copy the files from the camcorder to your computer and convert video files – then iMovie can use the. You may have to download and install Streamclip to convert – which is available at apple.com 's download area. I do not recommend HDD camcorders for three reasons: 1) They can not handle the vibrations. This can be a strong audio band noise or a large crown engine jet engine (or car racing). Heads of unit Hard Drive and the park is not going to burn in an effort to protect the discs. 2) They do not do well at altitude (something more about (700 feet). Since I do not know where you live or want to take video (skiing in the mountains?), I do not know if this matters. 3) When you remove / break the camera, how do you get the video out of the unit Hard? With flash or MiniDV tape, you can usually take the media and use another camera … with a camcorder hard disk, you will work with a data recovery service like DriveSavers … open your wallet … The Canon FS10 and FS100. They have a microphone jack … so do the Canon ZR900 and ZR930. And I have no particular affinity for Canon, I use a Sony HDR-HC1 and HDR-FX1. However, for "best bang for the buck", the flash of Canon camcorders are probably her … in its price range indicated.
