27a January 2009: Panasonic DMC-TZ6 is the latest addition to the award-winning Lumix TZ family of digital cameras, which is famous for preparing a marked 12x optical zoom in a compact, elegant and with a 25mm lens for ultra wide angle wide angle shot. successor to the popular DMC-TZ5, the TZ6 is willing to be a firm favorite.
Ultra Wide Angle Lens with 12x optical zoom
On 10 TZ6 megapixels offers high-quality LEICA DC VARIO ELMAR 25mm ultra wide angle with 12x optical zoom. A lens like this, with a range from 25mm to 300mm in 35mm film equivalence is almost inconceivable in such a small camera, lightly. Comprising 10 elements in 8 groups, including 2 ED lenses and 2 aspherical lens with 3 aspherical surfaces, and using the new lens materials in its design, this unit realizes the advanced lens remarkably slim, compact body, moving from Leica standards to deliver exceptional optical performance. Zoom function extending additional optical zoom power to 21.4x (at 3 megapixel resolution) with the central part of the CCD to make further large objects without damaging image quality.
Intelligent Auto Mode continues to improve
Panasonic incorporated the Intelligent Auto mode in pursuit of maximum ease of operation and reducing the misshots. This mode is also more advanced with the inclusion of the AF and intelligent tracking feature Exposure to the DMC-TZ6. In addition, Red-Eye Digital is also integrated into the face detection.
In iA mode the camera does all the work, activating AF tracking, Intelligent Exposure, Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector, Mega OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) and Intelligent ISO Control. This leaves the user the freedom to write just the shot and press the shutter button, with the assurance that the image is clear, fair and properly exposed.
With the new AF Tracking function, the user can "lock" the focus on a moving subject. The camera automatically tracking the subject as it moves, keeping in focus without the user having to hold down the shutter button halfway. This makes it easier to capture the perfect moment clearly and in sharp focus when shooting images of a child, pet, sports or any scene with moving subjects and trigger action-of-the-moment.
Intelligent Exposure suppresses blocked shadows and blown highlights to capture images that look natural and lifelike. It currently has of an automatic backlight compensation that is activated when the camera detects that the light source is behind the subject.
Accuracy of detection faces has increased in the time of granting TZ6 continuous adjustment of focus and exposure even if the face is turned sideways to the camera. Combined with AF Tracking, Detection face helps users capture special moments, including the fleeting expressions on the faces of active children. Moreover, with the TZ6, red-eye effect can be digitally corrected automatically when it occurs due to the use of flash.
Intelligent Scene Selector automatically selects any 5 scene modes – Macro, Portrait,, Landscape, Night Portrait, and Night Scenery – best suits the shooting situation. The Quick AF system allows the camera to keep attention on the subject while the camera is in recording mode even before pressing a shutter button.
In addition to the functions advanced noted above, the iA mode inherits fundamental functions users need a good digital camera. These include MEGA OIS, which prevents confusion of hand-shake and Intelligent ISO Control, which prevents motion blur by adjusting the ISO sensitivity if the subject is making moves as the shot. The MEGA OIS conventional mode 1 and 2 and now has AUTO mode to select the appropriate between modes according to zoom ratio being used.
